Harappa and Mohenjo-daro the major cities of the Indus Valley Civilization spanning Pakistan and India date back to around 3300 BC and represent some of the largest human habitations of the ancient world.
Indus River

Originating in the Tibetan plateau near Lake Mansarovar, the Indus river runs a course through the Leh and enters Pakistan to traverse it and meet the Arabian sea near Karachi after a long course of 3,180 kms.

The Indus river has many tributaries along its course and the Zanskar river, a left bank tributary and Shyok river a right bank tributary flows in the Leh region.

The Indus river is famous for the Indus Valley civilization in Pakistan and northwest India.
